Seat belt anchor cable may fail in crash
Injury riskDuring a crash, heat from the seat belt pretensioner can cause a front seat belt anchor cable to fail. If this happens, the driver or front passenger may not be properly restrained and faces a higher risk of injury.
Fix: Dealers will apply a protective coating to the seat belt cable free of charge.
Recall 16V875000 · Dec 2016Air bag control module may fail to deploy
Crash riskThe protective coating on the Restraint Control Module can crack, and moisture can then cause short circuits on its circuit board. If that happens, the front air bags, side curtain air bags, and seat belt pretensioners may not work as intended in a crash, raising the risk of injury.
Fix: The dealer will replace the Restraint Control Module free of charge, though replacement parts are not yet available, so you will be notified when the repair can be done.
